Evaluation of your blogging experience

Writing on the blog has been quite entertaining, it's a different way of interacting and communicating with classmates. Also with this platform you can exchange opinions and discuss topics of interest. It is a different way of developing skills in learning another language.

Many times a subject like this is difficult and complex to learn, but this platform allows to apply what was learned in classes. 

Personally I consider that the blog has helped in learning new words and also to express my ideas. It is an extra time to interact and communicate with my classmates. 

Conversations in class are often intimidating for those shy students, because not everyone has the same level of knowledge. A good idea would be to form "trust groups", that is, each of the students form a group to work and talk in each class, so they would talk freely and without embarrassment.

No doubt this is a subject that helps in progressive learning, because students learn new things daily. The teacher of this subject also makes learning easier and closer. 

In the blog I would like to write about personal experiences, or also about our opinions in certain situations, in order to create a space for interaction and dialogue.

The "secret friend" trauma

At Christmas, the "secret friend" is played constantly. This is a tradition of the inhabitants of Chile. This game is made to pass a nice time with co-workers or classmates. This is a way of giving gifts to each other, leaving aside the rivalry or preference that may exist within the team. It is also entertaining because you not know who will give you a gift.

In my life, I have played the "secret friend" several times with my family, friends and classmates. Without doubt the most difficult thing is to give something to a man. A woman never knows what men like. However, giving a gift to a woman is much easier, because they can give them accessories, makeup, etc.

It makes it much easier to give a gift to someone of my gender because I know what women like, but to the men I do not know what to give them. When you randomly draw the small pieces of paper I always want the name of a woman to appear. It's not that I'm sexist, but it just makes it easier for me to choose the gift.

A subject you have enjoyed this semester

Analysis of the audiovisual image is a subject that I really like. This class is made by the teacher Javier Mateos and the way he teaches us is dynamic and fun. During this semester I have seen different television series for analyzing the narrative structure, visual codes. The teacher made us evaluations after seeing programs of television, and some chapters. In the last semester the teacher made us analyze movies, but this semester the teacher changed modes.  

I enjoyed this subject because is interesting to know about the Cinematographic tools, I also learned a lot because this is a different subject from my career.

The teacher and assistant do a great group. Both complement each the other very well.

In the last semester the professor was very strict, it was difficult to understand, because I didn`t have much knowledge in the cinema. But this semester I know very more. This subject is a very interesting and didactic, because I have to see many movies or series and that is something that entertains me. It is also necessary to know how to analyze the programs of television because this topic is of my career.

Juan Cistóbal Peña was a born in Santiago of

Chile in 1969, Is journalist, teacher of 

narrative and write. He is Director of

the School ofJournalism at the University

Alberto Hurtado. He studied journalism at

the University of Diego Portales.

He is the author of the books: 

“Celia:La vida en llamas” (2002),“Los fusileros” (2007) and “La secreta vida literaria 

de Augusto Pinochet” (2013).

He has worked in the magazines El Mercurio, La Hora, La Naciónand La Tercera, 

and collaborated in Rolling Stone magazine. 

He was investigative journalist “Ciper”.He received the Lorenzo Narali Grand Prize 

from the European Union

Development Commission (2005), the Alberto Hurtado UniversityExcellence 

Journalism Award (2004), The New Journalism Foundation (2007).

He writes about contingent issues but also conducts major research on past issues, 

mainly related to the period of dictatorship that was experienced in Chile.

The way to raise your ideas and your research is something I like, 

reading your books is possible to get involved with the story and understand 

what happened in the past.

The soundtrack of my life

Hello everyone!

The music that everyone listens to tells a lot about their own personality, because it identifies us. I don`t have a definite style of music, I like many songs and artists. But when choosing my favorite song I will always say the same. "Somewhere only we know" Keane group I love because it produces me something different. This is a song that I love and whenever I need peace of mind I listen to it. His lyrics make me reflect on those simple things we have and forget. I always listen when I'm a little sad because it helps me feel better. Music often raises our spirits or makes us sad. But to me this song makes me think and question some things. In addition to their lyric, I also really like their melody and the instruments they use, is a song that is not forgotten very easily. And his video clip is also good. This group also has another song that I really like that is "Everybody`s changing", this is my second favorite song.

The story of a picture

I took this photograph during the summer of 2014 in Iquique city, when I was on vacation with a cousin. In order to make that trip I worked hard during December and January. I sold clothes and worked in a business. 

We planed to jump in paragliding,becouse we wanted live unique experience and to know what it felt like. 

When I jumped immediatel I shouted I could not reassure myself. The feeling of being very high and not being able to touch anything with my feet produced me afraid.

In one start I at first I despaired but after I enjoyed the ride. It was very relaxing to feel the fresh wind in my face.

This photograph, I did with a lot of fear because I didn't wanted my camera to fall to the ground and it was break.
I never thought I was so brave to paraglide , but I did. I lije this photograph because it remember me what was when I jumped. Also because those holidays I enjoyed to the maximum the free time I had.

My favorite movie scene

It´s just I cannot to choose just one scene from a movie, but in this case I'll talk about a scene from the movie The Shining, directed by Stanley Kubrick. This is a movie use the suspense and emotions. The protagonists of the film are a family that is going to live in a hotel because Jack, the father of the family will work there. That hotel is completely lonely because it is winter and nobody can´t get there. Once there, he begins to suffer from disturbing personality disorders. Due to incommunication, insomnia, what produced violent situations against his wife and son. The scene that I like is the image appears here, where Jack desperately searches for his wife and when he finds her in the bathroom knocks the door with a axe. That scene transmits terror and suspense because it is not known what will happen to the woman and her son. Other scenes that I like are when they show the face of jack like crazy.

MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

My favorite piece of technology is the bicycle. It is really elementary for the transport and the amusement. In vacations I use it every day  in the place where I live.  I like to go round the different places nearby, because in the south there is much vegetation and at the moment of the late sunset it is better. 

To use the bicycle has many benefits, because it improves the health and it is really fun. In vacations I use my bicycle very much, some days I go out with all my family, this way we spend time together.

I don't know how to live without my bicycle. When I use my bicycle I feel free, the wind gives me this sensation and I love it. Also it serves me to visit my friends and family, the bicycle is my best friend.

Hello Partners! I hope you are well

As a child I always wanted to be an actress. In the school I participated in theatrical groups and everyone liked as acting   but then I imagine being a journalist and I like more.

The career of actress was always a hobbie, I never really imagined to be studying theater. So the decision was not very difficult. I think it was always my only option. Finally I chose this career because I like very much to write and to interview people. I want to know about different facts of politic, economy and culture.

The experience in the university is dynamic. There is always something to do.

I would like to work in a newspaper or magazine to inform people about different issues.

Who am I?

Hello, I am Seidy Santos

I was born in Coelemu (June 13, 1997), a village in the region of Bio-Bio. It is a very quiet village, has a lot of nature and many beaches nearby.

All my life I lived in Coelemu, but when I arrived at university I had move house to capital city. At first it was not easy, but eventually I got used. 

My mother and my father are professors and both are in Coelemu. I live in Santiago with my brother who finished studying in the university and now works.

I don`t have a hobby in specific. In the high school I played hockey on lawn, that was something that amused me. But something I really like is to enjoy nature and hiking in hills and forests.
