A person on your field that you admire?

Juan Cistóbal Peña was a born in Santiago of
Chile in 1969, Is journalist, teacher of
narrative and write. He is Director of
the School ofJournalism at the University
Alberto Hurtado. He studied journalism at
the University of Diego Portales.
He is the author of the books:
“Celia:La vida en llamas” (2002),“Los fusileros” (2007) and “La secreta vida literaria
de Augusto Pinochet” (2013).
He has worked in the magazines El Mercurio, La Hora, La Naciónand La Tercera,
and collaborated in Rolling Stone magazine.
He was investigative journalist “Ciper”.He received the Lorenzo Narali Grand Prize
from the European Union
Development Commission (2005), the Alberto Hurtado UniversityExcellence
Journalism Award (2004), The New Journalism Foundation (2007).
He writes about contingent issues but also conducts major research on past issues,
mainly related to the period of dictatorship that was experienced in Chile.
The way to raise your ideas and your research is something I like,
reading your books is possible to get involved with the story and understand
what happened in the past.

    Juan Cristobal Peña is a very good journalist and writer, I also really like his work. The first book that read of him was Los fusileros, is very very good.

    I surprise very much the person whom you admire. Another day in the reportage workshop I touch to read one of his works and I like me his way of working and reporting the stories that it investigates.
